Meet Me

I am a social eater. Whew, feels good to get that off of my chest! I am lucky in the fact that I am not emotionally attached to my food, but socially..... that is another story. There is something to be said about sitting around the dinner table with a group of people, or having a party and hanging out around the snack table that I just love. It engages all of the senses.

I also love to play around with food. It is so fun for me to take a recipe and tinker with it until it is just right - for me. Someone, somewhere thought it was just right for them, but I like to make it so for me. Cutting back on the fat, sugar and simple carbs is my main motivation. Getting out the processed ingredients (You will NEVER see shortening or corn syrup in my cupboard!) and making it as whole and natural as possible brings me joy: but it has to be fun, tasty and look amazing. You will never find cardboard food in my house.

I love to feel good inside and out and am very passionate about it. Exercise and nutrition are huge parts of my life, but I also know how to have fun: I am not so uptight I can't enjoy an amazing cookie or piece of pie either.

My favorite food? Hmm.. quite possibly corn chips. Runner ups, peanut butter, peanut M&M's and diet Dr. Pepper. See, fun! Okay, okay, I know there is nothing natural about diet Dr. Pepper, but every girl has to have her fix - that is mine.
